Computer Science Lecturers Earn Prestigious Professional Certificate in Adaptive Design for Learning

In a significant achievement for the Computer Science Study Program, two esteemed lecturers, Mr. Erwin Randjawali, S.Pd., M.Si, and Ms. Raynesta M.Indri Malo, S.S., M.Hum, have been honored with the prestigious Professional Certificate Course 2024 in Adaptive Design for Learning. This recognition comes from the Ateneo SALT Institute in partnership with the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.

The intensive 13-week online course, slated from May 6th to August 2nd, 2024, commenced with a dynamic orientation session, setting the stage for an enriching learning journey ahead.

Program Overview: The course, facilitated by the Ateneo de Manila Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT Institute), aims to equip educators with cutting-edge principles, strategies, and tools for designing effective online courses and classes. A key highlight of the 2024 ADL is the exploration of how generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) can be leveraged to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Module Details:

1. Asynchronous (semi self-paced)
Participants will participate in individual discussion forums. 

2. Synchronous Webinars There will be 6 synchronous webinars that will feature experts who will present key ideas on topics aligned to the asynchronous modules. Each will last for 2 hours. The 6 webinars are: 

(1) Course Orientation; 

(2) The Context of the Whole Person in a VUCA World; 

(3) Designing Competence-based Modules; 

(4) Designing Assessments for Alignment; 

(5) Designing for Active and Interactive Learning; and 

(6) Sharing Session (Initial Ideas for the Action Plan)
